Oasification in Arid and Semi-Arid Regions of China: New Changes and Re-Examination

چکیده
The “counter-trend” of oasification in China’s arid and semi-arid regions has attracted widespread attention against the backdrop rising global desertification risk, which endangers ecological safety food security. This paper selects pertinent literature from CNKI WoS core collection databases then uses bibliometric methods to comb current status, key contents, cutting-edge trends research. following conclusions are drawn: (1) Compared research, research on not been sufficient understanding raised same level importance as desertification; (2) From perspective literature, hotspots have gone through four stages: “spatial temporal evolution, effects, driving mechanisms sustainable development paths”; (3) Current is mainly focused evolution landscape dynamics, development, conservation. Research outlooks follows: system theory, we construct a theoretical framework “man nature” harmonious community, systematically study alternating process “desert–oasis” regions, its effects; synergistic factors, mechanism preferred path should be some contents future research; Oasification management opposite management, governance system, content necessary.

Trend analysis and detection of precipitation fluctuations in arid and semi-arid regions
The most important impacts of climate change relate to temperature and precipitation. Precipitation is particularly important, because changes in precipitation patterns may lead to floods or droughts in different areas. Also, precipitation is a major factor in agriculture and in recent years interest has increased in learning about precipitation variability for periods of months to annual and s...
متن کاملInvestigating the interaction between rivers and sand dunes in arid and semi-arid regions of Iran
Extended abstract 1- Introduction Fluvial and aeolian processes are important factors in changing the surface of morphology in the Earth. When rivers and sand dunes meet, the transportation of sediment between them can lead to one of the systems or both of them change. With their connection between river sediment and wind systems there would be lots of reactions, but very little has been st...

متن کاملThe Landscape as a Unit for Rangeland Inventory in Arid and Semi-arid Regions of Iran
Severe range degradation was critically extended in many region of Iran and caused many rangelands were restricted and interwoven with croplands in a complex system. Therefore, rangeland planning and inventory as an isolated activity has become almost impossible. Current landscape planning involves contributions of different social organizations often with different interests and with different...
متن کاملSpatial and temporal patterns of Holocene vegetation and climate changes in arid and semi-arid China
Pollen data from 30 sites in arid and semi-arid regions of China were reviewed to document regional patterns of Holocene vegetation and climate change and to understand the large-scale controls on these changes. Vegetation at most sites in eastern Inner Mongolia switched between forest, forest steppe, and typical steppe, showing maximum moisture conditions before 6 ka (1 ka 1⁄4 1000 cal yr BP) ...
